Had a pre-wedding meeting yesterday ready for Friday

I just spoke as I normally do - you know - the basics about Uncle Fred with his D3 getting in my way calling to the bride, or Aunty Mable going in to town to buy batteries just as we start the group shots....

"You're just what we were looking for...that's why we booked you"

"Eh?"

"Yeah - a grizzled veteran cynic"  Shocked

Charmed I'm sure!   Roll Eyes

Alan,

Take it as a compliment, as past history has shown to me, it's not what you do, but how you do it!

Hi Alan,

It's far better to be known as a people person that a gadget junky.  Ordinary clients respond well to people talk rather than gadget or product talk.  I'm in the trade and there's nothing I hate worse than someone who can't stop talking about his gear.  So I guess clients are likewise...

I totally agree with everything you just said Paul.  The lady photographers are fine, its just us blokes need to stop being blokes and start thinking like a bride does.  Did anybody go to the Gordon McGowan talk at the convention?  He has the right atitude!

Welcome back Paul, where you been?

Hi Jinx,

I've been a bit busy of late, plus I started to get a bit of 'forum junky' syndrome and information overload.  I don't much like spending too much time glued to a computer screen and the information on here started to get a bit too much to trawl through, even though I do enjoy talking with like minded professionals...even controversial ones.   Grin

Oh, Ioan, I hope you've bought a big hanky, forums are designed for people to talk together, express opinions, you know, social interaction and that sort of thing?  If you don't like listening/reading what everyone else has to say then simply cut them out of the loop and write yourself emails all day??   Undecided
