Hi All

Thanks Colin for the email, it has given me the kick up the jacksee I needed to come on here and introduce myself.

I'm Dave

I'm a complete newbie to the forum, and fairly new to photography in general.
I'm at that stage in my life when I need a caree change! So I enlisted at my local college and have now just completed a HNC in photography.  I want to go into wedding photography, but have no idea how...lol and little confidence.

I am going to be like a sponge in this forum, trying to learn as much as a can, all advice will be welcome, however I do suffer with Dyslexia, so I might struggle with somethings, so if I become a pest, please be patient with me, I will get there in the end...lol

Look forward to speaking to you all.

I've been reminded by Colin to introduce myself. Thanks, Colin, and hello everyone.

I'm Martin and I've been photographing for many years, professionally for the last five. Mainly portraits and some weddings. I also work on TV and film productions.

There are some huge gaps in my knowledge, particularly in digital post production and workflow, so perhaps this forum can redress that.

I'll do my best to post regularly, time permitting. We seem to work longer and longer days as time passes, but I'm inclined to make time for SWPP which is a truly proactive organisation with an excellent annual convention, a great magazine and many inspiring members.

I'm not partisan about cameras. I use Nikons because the controls are where my fingers expect them but happily acknowledge that Canon makes equally good cameras. They are, after all, just tools for us to make the best images we can.

Best wishes

Thanks William!

Aww thanks so much! I was most impressed that photography magazines have showcased my work. Ive been featured in other mags recently too, but the latest two seem like a triumph to me as I feel my technique is now more accepted.  Grin

Hi. This is my first post on the forum so "Hi" to everybody else in the "beginners" section. I am looking for guidance on a specific topic so I would appreciate either an answer to my query or suggestions on how to post my query to a more relevant section of the forum.

I have recently begun preparing my own wedding album designs in Photoshop, which has been challenging but fun. Now that I have designed a few layouts I am really happy with, I would like to find a way of converting them into 'templates' I could use for future jobs, to save designing every page 'from scratch'. Does anybody know where I could look to find a way of doing this in Photoshop?

Thanks for your help
