In just over two weeks, I will be heading off to Peru to trek the Inca Trail at Machu Piccu. I absolutely love travelling and have wanted to visit South America for years.....however, I'm terrified. Terrified of being alone on a different continent from everyone I know, and terrified of not being fit enough. This year has been a tough one personally, and it's going to be quite a journey for me, I think.

I've personally paid for the flights, trek and visit (in it's entirety - so no-one is paying for me to go on holiday Smiley, but I am raising money for Leukemia Research on the back of this (lost my precious dad 5 years ago). I also know two families who are currently touched by this terrible disease and I know you probably do too.

ALL donations made go DIRECTLY to Leukemia Research via www.justgiving.com/susanrenee. Please take a look (if nothing else) at the justgiving site, as it tells you a little bit more about what I'm doing.

I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and thanks to those on the forum who have already sponsored me.

Kindest
Susan x

Donated.

May you be blessed with a blister-less trek. Look forward to seeing some pictures on your return.

Hi Susan,
I walked the Inca trail for charity a few years ago. It is an unbelievable experience. Make sure you have a good torch. A really warm sleeping bag. Bog paper. I slept with my camera batteries cos it got so blo**y cold each night (and just as I got comfy I'd need to get up get up for a pee!)
You will get amazing pics. Have fun. I'm envious.

Good luck Susan, I'm sure you will enjoy the experience. Only been there as a tourist, but still think the place is amazing.

I always thought that the place looked like a big green ball jammed between the mountains.
