Sorry to be the boring one here, but I have a suspicous feeling that this is an urban myth assisted by photoshop......

If you read the text that goes with this, they mention something like 10,000 lights, how many switches do you think they would have to control them.  When they turn them on or off, they do it in batches of a floor or a whole bay, they are hardly likely to have arranged them nice and neatly so that you can spell with them.
