Ok Wednesday night I'm out of here, winging my way to the smoke for four days without adult supervision, unless, of course, you could call Juls & Phil adult supervision..... Tim was supposed to be in charge of keeping me out of  mischief, but he's no more adult than I... any volunteers?

I'm not volunteering, I nearly forgot to pack any underwear.  Adult supervision is way beyond me!

I never wanted to do anything other than join the Royal Navy when I was a lad. I actually signed the papers when I was 17, and I did the Admiralty Interview Board at HMS Sultan when I was 16. I wasn't accepted as 'officer material' and I chickened out in the end.

Did you spend any time at HMS Dolphin in Portsmouth? I seem to remember that was a submariner training establishment.

Yep. Dolphin was a great place to be after the strictures of basic training. Many happy memories from my time there and many very blurry ones too. Things were different then, of course.

Anyway, back on topic. If Mr Hoy isn't going to be able to keep you out of mischief, I'm sure that the thought of Begum Sahiba will do

Don't forget to give them the six-monthly wash before you pack them!!

Talk about off topic - how did the submarine service end up on this thread? (I volunteered).  Governor, you know I'll look after you as best I can, but you're right not to expect any adult behaviour - that's for the grown ups.  I phoned the Acklam Road centre this afternoon and spoke to my friend there.  Unsurprisingly, they'd love to have you there immediately before the fish and chips session.

Rock on squire, you're playing a blinder. Only thing is, I haven't got off the ground yet, just shoveled 4" of Krimble fluff and it's still falling.

Now I need to keep an eye on the airport conditions for delays and cancellations  Angry

Oh boy we now have about 8" of krimble fluff on the ground, I've shoveled the dive four times already and it is supposed to keep going until we're knee deep

I hope there aren't going to be serious delays and cancellations at the airport.

BTW what's the weather like there?

That's outside the pub though - it's much warmer (and expensive) inside.
