What a week!!!
Tuesday travel by car to London.
Wed/Thurs: Two full days of judging: Some of the most fantastic 20x16 images ever submitted for the competition and it was a joy to be invited to be a judge.
L panel submissions were also inspiring for the future of the budding photographers who sent in their portfolios of work. Many thank to Terrie for all her hard work, also the print handlers for great organisation.
Thurs evening: We put up our exhibition of classical nudes, thank you to everyone who have been in touch to congratulate us on the work of our hobby.
Friday: Kicked of with us getting ready for our first Superclass. We enjoyed our 4 hours with fabulous delegates and models (we had 6 but unfortunately one little boy would not play our game, so we worked with 5). Thank you everyone.
In the afternoon we did 30 mins on the Bowens stand demonstrating the FRESNEL SPOT for them. ( we will be with them again at FOCUS)
I don't know how many thousands came through the show on Friday. but we could not get anywhere close to the trade show stands, MAYHEM!!!!
Saturday: We did another stint for Bowens. Then in the afternoon we had our Masterclass and I hope we covered enough to inspire the delegates ( I think we had 77 people in the room)
we were so tired we were in bed by 10.!!!! I know we are no FUN.!
Sunday: Bowens again, then our final Superclass 1pm to get ready then 2- 6pm What a Fabulous time Trevor and I had with this group and our lovely models Kate, Ella and Fredau, you were just so patient and all beautiful. Thank you!!!!!!!
Well after all that, we had to try and pull ourselves together to attend the event of the show.....THE AWARDS DINNER....... I was so tired.. but enjoyed every single minute and seeing the surprise on the faces of the recipients made it for me. CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE ...You are all STARS!!!!!!
Almost finished!!: Our thank go to all the staff from the Society for your help during the week. THANK YOU!!!!!
FINALLY: We had no idea that we were going to be presented with our Society "Masters" at the dinner, what an ACCOLADE for us and it is such a good feeling to be appreciated. THANK YOU Juliet and Phil. xx
FINALLY...FINALLY : The Awards book contains a selection of images to inspire ALL of us, I brought ours home with us to join last years on our bookshelf.

It was great seeing both yourself and Trevor again and having a chat. Congratulations on your awards very well deserved. Both of you are an inspiration to everyone and your display on show was fantastic.
I was disappointed I couldn't make your superclasses but if your running them next year will hopefully make it.
I hope to see you both again later in the year for some workshops

It was lovely to see you both wandering about the hotel with a friendly smile and chats to those who said hello.
The superclass was very good. I loved seeing my favourite modifier (sadly, I can't justify the purchase of one) in use during the class with Rob in his hat and coat. The effect the fresnel spot has makes me take a sharp breath inwards when I see it in front of me.
I look forward to the next time I see either or both of you.

I meant every word. But forgot to say I just have admiration for the way the Convention is organised in such a fashion that it appears to run like clockwork. All I can say is WELL DONE Mr and Mrs JONES.xxxxxxxxx

Huge Congratulations to you both.  It was wonderful meeting you at the Sunday Superclass - Alas none of my images even touch the example you have posted above. I guess practice and perseverance are on the agenda ( again )  |

Hi Fay & Tevor, a pleasure seeing you both again, you have added another gem to my collection of life experiences, I enjoyed my visit with you both as well as everyone at the convention,

I really wish I'd had more time and could have spoken to you more rather than
the quick hellos we seemed to get when passing en-route to various classes.
Next year I will definately try to attend some of your classes.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Trevor and Faye for their masterclass. It was a wonderful Q&A session with a series of stories and discussions on their love of photography.
I felt truly inspired when I left that room and also was reminded why I love photography. The importance of shooting what you love to shoot really struck home to me.
