Hello, i am just starting up, and looking for good portable studio backdrops, to take with me when doing family portraits on location. can anyone point me in the right direction, or does any one have anything like that they are not using any more.

Try having a look at the interfit or Jessop range... I have the Interfit background support system which will take backdrops from either those companies(or similar).

I still have a Lastolite backdrop for sale that has never been used, just taken out its packaging to look at.  New at nearly a ton, it can be yours for just GBP60.

ViewFinder (www.ViewFinderPhotography.co.uk) do a very sturdy 4 pole system. Each pole is 3' long so you can have 9' where space is at a premium or 12' where not.
