If you think a Wedding cannot be re-staged you should try photographing a building on fire ( again ? )

I look forward to meeting you when I speak at this years Fantastic Convention.

If you fancy an insight into the world of Fire Service Photography, the glamour, the glitz, rain pouring down your neck at 3 am and another D2x trashed; then come along and have a listen to what I promise will be an entertaining, humourous, and sometimes thought provoking session.

Feel free to ask any questions

Best wishes

Sounds like fun!  I imagine the average fire last slightly longer than the peck on the cheeck at the alter though  Wink

Hiya Chris,

I've got an old mate who does that kind of stuff after retiring as a Station Officer.

Tony Myers, ever bump into him.

Its great stuff to see, very exciting, loads of action.

There's a photographer in Northbrook, just north of Chicago, USA., who has taken fire photographay into the realms of fine art, I saw a handful of giant enlargements of his work at a lab not too long ago, it was  a fantastic display of supeb shots.

Hi All

Dave, the fine art thing sounds interesting - may have to work on that one Smiley

John, yes I know of Tony, I replaced him when he retired !

Bev, now you have a good point there - Im sure they would do a long kiss for you, but you are quite right a quick peck on the cheek is something to catch and I don't envy your job.
There again if you come to my lecture you will see some high speed photography of gas Propane cylinders exploding and also what an industrial firework can do to a Mkiii Ford Escort Car. Smiley

Best wishes to you all

Chris

THat would be good to see because I'd be running away as fast as I possibly could if I were there  Grin  Unfortunately I don't think I am going to make it to the convention but if you care to share some afterwards (pretty please!)
