Hi George, I think we all know people on Facebook that are irritating

If someone is THAT irritating then you can hide their posts; that way you are still friends with them but you don't have their irritating posts appear in front of you when you are trying to catch up with your other friends and family... you can also do the same with all the games/quizzes etc so you get a chance to see the posts from the people that really matter to you

As a photographer it is hard not to compare yourself to other people, but that can leave you feeling a bit down; especially when everything else seems to be going wrong at the same time.... I have found it much easier to concentrate on my business since I have stopped looking at most other photographers blogs/websites etc; there are a few people whose work I really admire that I keep up with for inspiration and motivation to improve....
Also, if you look at the MPA website and their awards you will see a real difference in the style of photograph chosen by the judges for the main awards and those picked by consumers for the consumer awards; what does this tell us ? It just goes to show that the photographs that clients like aren't necessarily the same ones that judges would rate highly for awards or qualifications... no surprise there really but worth remembering.... the judges don't pay your mortgage, your clients do
