Nothing Is Too Much Trouble

OK I am downsizing my kit and being ruthless with those items that
I find I no longer use (or rarely ever did use ) so I have a body and a few lenses for sale
as follows:

20D body -
This body was actually used as my backup camera at weddings (just in case)
To be honest it is in really good condition but shows small signs of wear in areas
you would expect. Nothing bad just cosmetic. I can honestly say that this is still
a real good solid camera which wont let anyone down and still takes cracking images.
I have just decided to move totally to Full Frame.
If it does not sell I will get it converted to IR.

A few of these are around the used market in the 175.00 price range.

17-85mm EFS IS
I used this lens when I first got it but then went for 'L' series lenses and so
it has hardly ever been used since. It always had a UV filter attached and
is virtually perfect. This lens would be 360.00 new - selling for 200.00 .

17-40 F4 L -   This is the weapon of choice for many many landscape photographers
and its not hard to see why and is one of the resons why I bought it.
Unfortunately I hardly ever got the time to actually use it and I already
have a 24-105 F4 so have decided that this one has to go. It includes
the standard lens hood  ,  I will sell for 500.00 ono.

SIGMA 24-70 F2.8 EX DG
Again I hardly ever used this lens because shortly after purchasing it I got a
5D and the 24-105 F4 which is 99% my weapon of choice , thus this lens
has been sitting around (mostly still in its box) fitted with a uv filter and has done
virtually nothing . It includes the standard lens hood
for 400.00 ono.

Feel free to pm me with any questions etc

Colin / et al,

How does the Sigma 24-70 compare with the canon version?

I cant compare directly with the sigma 24-70 vs the Canon 24-70f2.8 L
I can only say that I've haver had any cause to cimplain about the sigma the image
quality has always been spot on and its a good bit lighter than the Canon.

To be honest the focusing is not quite a fast or quiet as the canon 24-105, but
having said that its by no means noisy or slow.

At the end of the day its only about 40% of the cost of a new canon 24-70 F2.8 L
so I dont expect it to be the same ..but I have my doubts if the Canon is actually
more than twice as good

If you made the same typo on the 17-40 I'd be interested Smiley

I was jesting Smiley  I sold my 10-22 a while back with the intent of buying a 17-40 but never got round to it. My Tamron 17-35 does a job although I still want the 17-40 - Maybe after the new year is past and Christmas/birthday money is in lol Smiley
