Hi

I've just had a very weird call from somebody sounding like they were in a call centre as yesterday I apparently paid $1.95 to sign up to them and they wanted further information to "set me up".
I did no such thing.  They apparently have something to do with websites, but caller became belligerent when I wouldn't give any info and started asked questions instead.  Apparently I will be debited $29 each month for the service....but in the end she said that as it appears fraud has been committed they are cancelling the purchase and refunding the $1.95.  This was only after I asked for contact details and website address so that I could take it up with my credit card company.

Very weird.  Lots of warning bells, so I thought I'd warn you.

Just to add to this and for your information/protection...

I've done some googling etc.  Here is their website http://www.manta.com/c/mvt7ry6/elite-world-systems

Here is something posted on a forum to the question "Has anyone heard of elite world systems" -
"This sounds very much like a recent scam exposed on ebay.  If it's a case of you selling goods through a website, yours, amazon, ebay, etc. Then collecting payment, taking a fee & forwarding the money for a company that will post goods directly to the customer, it's a scam.
The goods will never arrive & you will be chased for refunds."
