I'm going to have to write these into a much larger plan for 2012,

I have almost completed two of my aims. Perhaps they shouldn't be easily achievable.

Also going to take Iain's advice and plan quarterly goals.

There is another theory to the SMART goals. That is to make huge outlandish goals that do more than stretch you a little. There is evidence to say that this rationale is just as useful as SMART goals (BTW I use both types!). For example we would never have put a man on the moon if we had stayed SMART. Yes it was timebound specific and measurable ("we will have a man on the moon in 10 years" (or whatever the actual quote was)). But with technology at the time it hardly looked achievable or realistic!

I know individuals on here that have shared goals with me in the past that would make your eyes water in how unachievable they might sound. I also know that little by little they are working towards those goals............

Sure make yourself a bunch of realistic achievable goals but don't forget that you can dare to dream. Wink partybeer
