Thanks

I like a company called NPhoto but I must say that their presence in the UK got me a little concerned just before Christmas.  The albums I ordered arrived on time and in the end there was no problem.  But my lack of being able to get in touch with them had me wondering what the state of their business was.  They seemed to have lost their UK rep, they don't update Facebook and their phone line wasn't working.  But I love their albums so I am hoping this isn't a bad sign.

SIMlab have got a fairly inexpensive simple black album in a couple of sizes and the boxes are pretty nice.  They are fairly reasonable which is tricky to find with  albums.

Thanks everyone. I will look into them now.
Christina - I know what you mean. And since my terrible service from Sams Lab I would not want a repeat but will have a look.

Thanks again. X

Maria, I must stress that nothing bad happened with NPhoto.  My products arrived in a very timely fashion (about 2 weeks from ordering).  It was just that I couldn't reach anyone by phone when I wanted to (the line appeared to be no longer in use) and had to wait for an email which did come within 24 hours.  My concern is that a whole lot of little things, including they won't be exhibiting at either the convention or Focus, has me wondering how long this company will be around for.

For me their albums make perfect portrait albums because they look nothing like a typical wedding album.  So I really want them to be around for a long time as it took me 5 years to find an album that I think is perfect for what I do.

Good luck with making your decision.

I too love the nphoto albums BUT had an awful experience with them around October time. As Christine mentioned, their English rep left and was replaced by a Polish girl Barbara (they are a Polish company), though pleasant, didn't really have a grasp on things. I had to send 5 albums back to them because their alignment of pictures was awful i.e. images that were meant to be centred were in some case 2cm off kilter and also the glueing of the linen covers left a lot to be desired. These were all replaced quickly but the replacements were not a great deal better to be honest but dealing with Barbara was very difficult because in her eyes they had done all they could. It is a shame as their albums are beautiful when made properly (I have 2). Shame they are not at the convention as they are worth a punt...

Take a look at this company - good value and perfect for non wedding work too http://www.fotoboox.com/products/photobooks/5/a3-deluxe-landscape-photobook

Thanks Ian but having looked at the link I feel the prices maybe rather high. They say they start from £109. That is a little too high as by the time you add on commission it would not be suitable.

I have to say this is the one product I ave struggled to source. To be fair TYI who I use for all of my canvas, acrylic and photoblog products used to o albums and they were a great deal cheaper than that. I will call my rep tomorrow and see if they still do them.

Thanks again everyone.
