Well I'm just about through all the laundry from the last week and I think the washing machine is about to go on strike but I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to all the helpers and volunteers that have been working so hard at the Convention this last week. From looking after seminar rooms, setting up and breaking down rooms, 'chaperoning' speakers and delegates on location seminars, running around the building with cables for projectors and plugging audio cables into laptops when the speaker says the audio doesn't work (yes Damian... YOU  Grin) to simply making sure all the Societies staff were fed and watered - THANK YOU again!

The Convention could simply not run without you and with your help you have helped make this Convention the best one yet.

See you all again next year - your feet should have just about recovered by then!

Thank you sincerely once again.

I know that it had not been for the lovely lady (you know who your are) nipping out
of my masterclass to get me another cup of water I might not have made it the full 90mins.

I had a terrible dry cough and after the firats 45mins was starting to 'splutter' a bit.

She was lovely , friendly and indeed very very helpful

Mark,

As one of the volunteers or should that be 'Marks little helper's' - I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I'm sure the others did to.

In a moment of insanity, I've already e-mailed Juliet to see if you'll let me come back again next year............

I too had a fantastic time as a volunteer and have also emailed Juliet requesting that I be allowed to help again!

A big thanks to everyone who helps out at the Convention, the event just couldn't run as smoothly as it does without the support off so many people.

I hope all the 'helpers' and 'volunteers' had a great time and enjoyed the Convention and put their names down for next year Smiley

A HUGE thanks to them - everyone was so helpful and cheery and very professional, knowing when to give a speaker a gentle nod to keep on timing etc.

Very well done guys  partybeer

I can only echo what others have said - everybody who I met and spoke to from the SWPP were kind and extremely helpful. A huge thank you to everybody partybeer

I have mentioned him in another post but I would also like to say another special thank you to Ian Rose who, with 20 minutes to go, managed to figure out a solution for me when my laptop wouldn't work with the projector in the room where I was giving my masterclass. This made me a little nervous (to say the least) but Ian stepped in to help by not only thinking of a solution but then finding another laptop for me.  I can't thank him enough.

Neil - the kind lender of the laptop was Lesley McGillicuddy.  This is the great thing about the convention - everybody steps in and helps each other out.  Quite amazing.
