On a serious note, I seriously misunderstood Damian when I first 'met' him on the forum. I am so pleased to have got to know him in person and realised what a genuine person he is. I take it back big dog x

I finally plucked up the courage to approach Damian and say hello (during a break in the Fellowship judging on the Thursday). He is an absolute gentleman and such good fun. Really looking forward to getting some proper time with him one of these days. A well deserved Grand Master award!

As others have said, such a nice person knows what he is doing and the time he spends helping others (including me) progress their photography is invaluable Keep up the good work and congrats And as Matt Cain says "what better mentor can you have than photo Yoda" |

Well done Damian – richly deserved. There are many people that don’t realise how much time and effort he puts into helping others. He’s been an inspiration and a great mentor and more than willing to generously offer help and advice, always finding time in an already frantically busy workload. You’re an absolute star.
