G'Day Everyone, New member just popping in to say hi... with a little of who I am and where I am at these days. Smiley
I started my photography journey 30+ years ago when I was looking for a new hobby. I loved art at school, not bad at it either, but I found I did not have the patience any more to create an image with pencil and paints. Light bulb moment.... " I will give photography a go", and never looked back. Olympus OM1 outfit, still in my cupboard, darkroom equipment, still in my cupboard. Digital imagery and cameras re-awaken what had become a flagging passion.
That was over ten years ago. In that time I have been able to invest in the best Nikon professional equipment in my pursuit of the NEW journey.  Someone good and great in the photography industry once said... "the best camera is the one you have with you."
After many years as a freelance/part-time photographer I am now concentrating all my efforts full time on providing quality images for discerning clients.
I have recently attended the Aspire A-Z of photography business course. A four day course at their Cumbria headquarters. This to keep me atuned to modern business trends and practices.  Constantly updating one's training is a vital part to business.

Hope to meet some of you in the future and have discussions and questions here on the forum.

Best regards, Paul Tombs....ptgraphics photography

Welcome aboard Paul, I had a friend in Mansfield, who was one the Cap't. of Notts CC, but haven't seen him in nearly 40 yrs, we used to go to the White Post for big steak dinners, I wonder if that place is still there.

Thanks for the very warm welcome guys. Nice to be here.
Trudy, I often go up to J28, Designer Outlet, for a coffee. Are you on fb or twitter? I could let you know the next time I go.
Paul, the Aspire course was excellent. Great people, facilities and knowledge. Definately worth a trip for the A-Z of business. My head is still spinning from the information overload. LOL.
