Well I never thought it would come to a day when I charge my cigarettes up. Absolutely crazy but I haven't smoked a real cigarette since saturday which is pretty awesome as for those who know me know I smoke my fair share.

Has anybody else tried or smoking these things?

That's shocking, or at least could be

Not tried them but do want to give up, where did you get them from and have you been tempted yet. I find that once I stop the usual NRT things like patches et al I soon get the craving back (especially when having to deal with the boys at each others throats)

I'm blown away to be honest, revolutionary. Best technology I have ever wittnessed.

It's the start of the end of real cigarettes mate. This will be the future, the only issue will be the government.

I bought a trial E lite from a Threshers wine shop on the weekend, I went out for a night out and straight away stopped smoking real cigs. I was smoking all night in the pub, people couldn't believe it. I didn't go out all night for a cig and haven't had one since.

I have never tried patches or anything else but these are the real deal, when I took a drag and blew smoke (liquid nicotine) out I was amazed.

The E lites are good but speaking to my friend on the phone just now he has told about these, which he said are way better

Seriously worth looking into mate  Smiley

I'm just past the 1 year point since having a smoke and I can tell you that it does get easier. Much easier!

I was part of the Fife NHS trust "quitfit" campaign and have, this afternoon, been contacted to ask if I'd be willing to be part of their new advertising campaign for it - just a small interview and my picture in the adverts. While I have no desire to be part of the holier-than-thou brigade of ex-smokers, if I can help even one other person quit the horrible things, then I will try.

My own quitting was achieved using 2 NRT things; patches and the inhalator. I used the patches as normal and the inhalator as and when I got a strong craving. After 12 weeks, the patches stopped (as normal) and I continued to have the inhalator with me for a while after, but a couple of weeks after the end of the patches, I didn't even have a cartridge in it.

At the one year point, I visited the quitfit folks to tell them thankyou for helping me through that first part of quitting. Probably why I got the phone call this afternoon Grin
