Hi everyone!  Not long to go now until the 2008 Convention kicks off!  It's one of the few annual photographic events I actually look forward to attending and this year I have the additional honour of hosting a Masterclass (Event Photography - focus on the basics that will build you profit - Sunday 20th 16:00-18:00).

For those of you who don't know me, I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years and have concentrated on event photography since about 1995, building up a vast experience of what to do (and not do!) to make money from on-site photography.

For the last few years I have also worked as consultant photographer with System Insight (www.systeminsight.co.uk) and have been able to use their expertise in dye sublimation printing, wireless photography and system design to further refine event photography workflow and techniques.

Working with Stuart Morley from System Insight, all this knowledge and experience has been turned into a very successful monthly course, 'Event Photography for Profit - All you want to know about how to make money from Event Photography' which has been running since 2006 and has led to some serious money being made by delegates who have attended!

The Masterclass is an introduction to this course and I know you will get a lot from it.  The equipment discussed in the Masterclass can be viewed on 'The Photobus', the UK’s largest, specially-designed event photography vehicle on the road, which is being showcased by the SWPP/BPPA at this year’s Convention and is parked outside the reception area. For a more in-depth look at making money from event photography, the full course will be running throughout 2008 and you can find further details at http://www.systeminsight.co.uk/Dye_Sub_Photo_Printer_Training.htm.

I look forward to meeting you on the 20th.  Let me know if you have any questions in the meanwhile.

Best wishes
