Is it just me or is anyone else finding it difficult to choose which lectures to go to? I want to go to them all! There's at least four on Saturday morning all at the same time that I really need to go to, I just can't decide which one. Huh?

I had the very same problem last year and ended up sitting through half of one and then leaving and sneaking into see half of another.  I'm going to try not to do that this year as I feel like I didn't get much benefit from either that way.

Keep in mind you also need time to see the trade show and by the time the weekend is over you will be exhausted.  Last year one of the seminars on the Sunday I had scheduled to see got cancelled and was I ever relieved.

I've already got most of mine laid out (started with a spreadsheet of everything I wanted to see and then wittled it down).

Yeah, last year I stayed on for Jerry Ghionis on the Monday and I know what you mean about being tired! At least when I'm learning I'm not spending! I will whittle the list down shortly.

I've solved a problem:
I'm going to some, my wife to the others!

My husband is going to a couple too.  But as he isn't a photographer he won't get as much out of them as I would.  But its better than missing it altogether.

I do both the Photoshop and the photography.  So my husband will be going to some of the more business or marketing oriented ones.  And Mike McNamee's Photoshop for virgins.

I have been going for a while now so am lucky I know exactly what I want from each year but we still also do split it my husband goes to his and I go to mine.

The trade thing isn't so difficult this year as there are not many things on between 10 and 12 I assumed this was to give people trade time.

Christina if the time is right and you husband wants marketing I would really recommend Julie Cialone and I am sure you will know you could not meet a nicer guy and Mike McNamee for him to learn photoshop basics.

I am really hoping our flight is on time and I can make Mike Medford - posing and lighting perfertion.

I'm a sole trader and can't interest my hubby in the joys of photography, which is a pity because he takes very good photo's. Think I'll be concentrating on marketing / business, off camera flash, painter, and actions - hmmm that'll be everything then. Ah well. Undecided

Hi,

Its Úna from Wicklow. I am attending the full convention, arriving in on Tuesday so I will be ready first thing on Wednesday morning.  Any one else coming from Wicklow?  This will be my first time attending and I am a bit nervous, especially having just read the last lot of posts.  There seem to be quite a lot of husband/wives attending!  I hope I have picked out the best schedule, that suits my needs (there is such a wonderful vast array to choose from), which basically is everything.  From studio to post production.  I have CS3.

Good luck to all you other fellow newbies too!!!

Do not worry you will not be alone - we are only 3/4 couples out of many thousands attending.  I have made many friends each year and look forward to seeing them, you will end up talking to the person next to you in a lecture, or in the bar, it is easy.  If you are not finding that, come and find us my husband is talking Saturday morning 8-10 (Tom Gibson) we wont be there till Friday afternoon though.  You will be well settled by then but do feel free if not.
