So - you are wondering which seminars or masterclasses to come and see.
This one will literally be your wake-up call (literally 'cos it's on at 8.00 am Friday morning).
If you have ever thought about either 'How can I make REAL money at this game?' or 'How can I really make money out of this game working from home'  well - THIS IS THE MASTERCLASS TO ATTEND.

Please, this is no brash bullsh statement.  THIS IS FACT.

One of the first slides will show you a screengrab from our accounts program as we went through the £150,000 mark.  Neither Sue nor I have egos that need massaging - in fact we keep pretty much to ourselves - but we do make serious money from the job we both (most of the time) love.

If you come along you will have 2 hours of REAL LIFE FACTS bombarding you.  We are either very brave or very stupid - You will see several COMPLETE WEDDINGS - just as the clients saw them as proofs.  You will see our methods of shooting for MAXIMUM SALES and MAXIMUM CLIENT DELIGHT.  You will see a workflow method that is very quick and efficient AND GOOD.  You will see how we cope with BAD WEATHER.  You will see how we make our larger subjects look slimmer without them even realising what we are doing - and they then want to buy of course.  We will show you HOW TO MAXIMISE THE SALES by letting people buy more.

We are not sponsored by anyone - we will show you how we make money from photography and what we use to do it - we want people to make money from something they love doing - in a real life situation - week in and week out.  You can take as much out of our model and use it to make great money as we do - or you can take a part of it to improve what you do.  This will be the masterclass that you walk away from thinking I REALLY COULD DO THAT!

Just in case you think that this is all bulsh - take a look at our website

www.garyandsuephotography.com

If you have any specific questions that you want answering that are not already in the masterclass I will do my best to get them in.

If you do come along be prepared to have a great laugh too - some of it at us - the people that know us know I have a bit of a sense of humour.......  Really look forward to seeing you, sharing as much as we can with you, old and new friends.

Sounds really interesting, will you be covering the marketing side, ie how you get - what - 100+ weddings a year?

Great to see some people interested.
This masterclass, in only 2 hours, will show the reality of what can be achieved, working from a home environment.  You will be shown how we photograph weddings and how we make the most of everyone that comes through our door.  One reply had reference to 100+ weddings - perish the thought!  Try half that.  If you were to do 100+ weddings for £150,000 that's only £1500 per wedding.  That sum might be OK in your very first stages of your career, but within a year or so you can double that AVERAGE figure. FACT:  Today there are lots of photographers not making the money they deserve because they do not offer the right product or product range, enough choices, enough opportunities for clients to buy - and FAR TOO CHEAPLY for the time, experience and money they (the photographer) have invested.

People have said to us over the years "Oh - it's all right for you...." and then followed on with their reasons for thinking that way. I can assure you that we have been down SOOO many wrong roads, and if you want to stay at the top (as we do) we will continue to go down wrong roads in trying something different.  However, we work in an area with more photographers (as counted in Yellow Pages) per head of population than any we have seen - and in an area that is still listed as one of the poorest in Europe.  We (sadly?) don't get clients that will allow us 2 hours for portraits on a wedding day - we get 15 - 20 minutes, we (sadly again?) don't get clients very often that will allow us to go to several different locations - so we look at venues in a different light and make as much as we can out of them in the time that we have available - and that we will show you at the masterclass - together with the tools for letting the couples buy more.

Sue and I live in the real world - after the last masterclass we did - people kept coming up to us saying that ours was the most real they had ever seen and that they felt that they could REALLY do it as well.  We would love to see some of those people again - and some new as well I hope.  We've pushed the boundaries out and made some really exciting moves forward - to give our clients even more - and make more for ourselves -  we both win all the way.  Look forward to seeing you all there.  Gary

Hi - can I just make one point - if you are serious about photography, you will have more opportunity at this convention, to have more knowledge presented to you than at any other event during the year.  Having the ability to have so much available within walking distance, the chance to have a few minutes with the speakers to clarify a point or two is so unique, that you may ask yourself whether you can afford not to!
Look forward to seeing you

Hi - yes we will be covering the marketing issue.  It is different for everyone, but there are things that are common to all - and those we will be looking at.  I always remember photographer friends of ours (with studios) that used to say - 'Oh it's all right for you - you work from home with no overheads'  Well, we DO have overheads (which we will talk about) and the biggest problem in working from home was that I could have been the best photographer in the world - but without letting someone know about it - no-one was going to knock at my door, no matter how good a camera I had.  If you have a studio - as long as there's a picture in the window - hopefully someone will knock. The secret is getting the right type of client to knock at the door in sufficient numbers.  It takes a bit of time, mistakes and a doggedness to make it happen.
Look forward to seeing you - please say hello.

If you really want to - you will.  I know - I DID!
As far as the tax man is concerned - they set out an allowance that you can claim - using your house as a base.  But NEVER under any circumstances let your business own a part of your house - any increase in it's value will make you liable for capital gains tax.  KEEP YOUR HOUSE YOUR OWN - please...

Hi

This masterclass sounds great. Unfortunatly I am flying to Tenerife on Friday so will miss it. Are you planning to take this on the road so those of us who cant attend the convention can benifit your expertise?

You've certainly got me sold Gary, I always thought you had a great approach and attitude.

I think a large part of your success is down to the beautiful photography you (and Sue) produce, its exactly what todays marketplace is looking for, I believe.

Looking at your stuff confirms to me how appreciative I am of what I was taught by Mark Cleghorn as I remember how many times I saw you there too (is it ten years ago now?).

Keep up the good work and I hope things keep improving at the rate that they already have, so successfully.
