As part of their 10th anniversary Google are allowing people to search their oldest index:

http://www.google.com/search2001.html

It's amazing to see how much things have changed since '01 - believe it or not it actually seems as though it would have been quite difficult to locate a wedding photographer in my local area (Manchester/Cheshire) using Google...!!  Shocked Shocked  How times change!

Best of all you can view the websites from 2001 by clicking 'View old version on the Internet Archive' underneath each search result.  This place are selling a 96Mb compact flash card for only £270(!)  Bargain!!  Cheesy Cheesy http://web.archive.org/web/20010228024435/www.yourpc.demon.co.uk/itm00365.htm

Enjoy

Interesting is the first sentance. Cheesy) I was ladies champion for production car trials that year.

Excellent, so did you ever find an MG Midget..?!

This is an interesting article I found from 1999 regarding the future of digital photography http://web.archive.org/web/20010925212156/www.timesfreepress.com/1999/OCT/12OCT99/12PHOTOSIDER.html

Here's a quote from the article: ""Maybe it will go all digital one day; I just don't know. Digital equipment for weddings is expensive and not profitable. Right now, it's not feasible because the equipment would cost about $33,000."

It really is incredible how much things have changed in less than 10 years - where will we be in 2018?!?  Smiley

We'll be just thinking about the photo and it will be transferred by thought to a computer the size of a pea. (It will match the size of my brain.)

Although published in 2002, 2001 was when I started taking digital serious and when many of the example in these articles were tried out. Take a look of the idiotic thinking I did and experimenting I was up to.... Daft as it look now it all made sense then:-
