There are a lot of Stuart Walkers out there.. but I'm #1  Grin

4th for me, but not an SWPP listing for me in the first 12 pages of google. I have 5 other listings either associated with my website direct, the image file, and facebook, but no SWPP; go figure

My website comes up first which I personally prefer than another listing but that's probably because my name isn't very common so I can understand how handy an SWPP listing is if you're a John Smith or something! My blog used to come up second but now I have my flippin' Facebook page second Tongue My SWPP listing is third and my blog is fourth and then I'm mentioned on a poop-load of other blogs -  not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!!

My mistake Colin, I typed it into yahoo, which is the top of my home page. Type John Rose Salisbury into google and as you say SWPP listing is first, and my site, in one form or another, is every advert but the last; GOOD NEWS Grin Grin Grin. I still come out on the first page of google (5th) if you type John Rose and SWPP is on the 4th page; some work on my listing needed I think, must take a look and reword some things.

Cheers
John

You can remove your Facebook page off google:

Login to your Facebook account
Roll over Setting in top menu
Select Privacy Settings
Click Search
Now deselect the following statement: “Create a public search listing for me and submit it for search engine indexing.”
Hit Save

Then wait for google to update

Hope this helps

With a name like Smith there's no chance although add photography to it and bingo.

However don't get too excited if they know your name then they must already be aware of you. My aim is to be on the first page for wedding photographers ..Place name...
