Well I have just about come back down to earth !
What can I say, THANK YOU to all at the SWPP I was truly delighted to win Contemporary Wedding Photographer of the Year, and I was absolutely gobsmacked to win the overall award of Photographer of the Year.
This is the winning image



I was also pleased to get 5 Merits in the 16x20 competition

Stu,

Huge congratulations once again.  You're images are just wonderful, love the texture and incredible colours.

What with 5 merits, contemporary wedding photographer of the year and Photographer of the Year, you must be on cloud 9!

I am finding my win almost surreal!  Here in an Umbrian farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, we almost don't know what to do with ourselves!  We have a little jump up and down every now and again and then get back on with the strange little jobs jobs that you have to do when you live in the country!

I am so devastated that I wasn't there - the first year in 4 that we couldn't make it - what a bummer!!!

Well done Stuart on your win with your lovely image it could not have happened to nicer person ....I as you know have always loved your work and I was soooooooo glad you picked up the top prize as you deserved it not just for your winning image but for your top quality wedding work over the last few years which for me has been outstanding and now I will have to get my thinking cap on and try and beat you next year which I doubt very much but I can always try ....Once again Stuart many congratulations.

I was lucky enough to see Martin Leckie's face when he was given second place - the look of surprise was amazing....

... I am sure yours was much the same!

It was an excellent weekend for everyone - but exceptional for you.
