Hi,

Just a quickie:

We're a little confused about the 20"x16" awards and which ones Amy actually won.  The website area for the competition says:

Quote
20 x 16 Print Competition

This is the 2008 20x16 competition, the 2009 competition will be announced shortly.

the Menu of the website says:

Quote
SWPP & BPPA
2007 Awards Winners

the trophy which has arrived for winner of the wedding category says:

Quote
Wedding Category of the 20x16 print competition for 2008

The trophy for overall winner of the 20x16 print competition turned up at Stu Bebb's house Smiley  so I don't know what that says.  What does everyone else's trophy/rosette say?

Yours v. confused.  Huh?

Stuart Bebb won UK photographer of the year for the monthly competitions. This makes it the 2007 overall award although the prizes arent given out until January 2008, but they are from all the monthly comps in 07.
Amy was overall winner of the 20x16 competition which was a separate competition. I guess it's a 2008 competition because it was held in January 2008

That's how I see it, can't see how it is complicated.

Well, yes - that's what I would have thought as well but, as I said previously:

The Menu says "2007 awards"

The actual award page with the 20x16 winners' images on says

Quote
SWPP & BPPA

2007 Awards Winners

Amy Turner
20 x 16 Wedding Category Winner
20 x 16  Overall Winner

Sponsored by SWPP & BPPA

Now we've had a newspaper contact us asking for some details and what exactly do we tell them.  It's a little confusing and seemingly it is a little 'complicated'.

Hi Andy,

Just to confirm the 20 x 16 that Amy won was the 2008 and the monthly awards announced in January were 2007.

I have updated the website to hopefully make this more clear. Thanks for your comments

Hope this helps
