Have you ever reached the end of a DIY task and thought, "Pity I won't be doing this again, because I've learned how to do it and overcame all these obstacles"?  Suzi and I are doing a piece titled "Starting Again" because that's exactly what we had to do after we moved the fifty-odd miles from Bristol to Oake, near Taunton.  That included constructing a studio and dealing with a diary filled with virgin-white pages - and it worked.

Phil and Juliet asked us to share our experiences with the members, so you'll find it useful if you're about to start out or maybe you have started and you've hit a few snags.

Uncle Phil asked me to say a little about our seminar at the business school.  People most likely to benefit are those who are starting or thinking about starting out.  Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and when you do something for the second time, there's a chance to repeat the ideas that did work and ditch whatever didn't work.  Also folks who are already in businesses will be sure to pick up something useful.  In Liverpool we had a saying, "Always listen to the mariner who can tell you where the reefs are".

Hopefully we can help with the day-to-day things like costs, business planning etc.  We'll even show you a bit of what we do as photographers.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.
