So has anyone had a good look at accommadation options yet?

Luke has recommended the Adria - cheap and cheerful!

Any other suggestions/recommendations?

If I have read the Novotel website/this thread correctly, the charge for a double room at the Novotel is £140 per night inc breakfast.

It also says on the Novotel website that they charge residents £1/hour for parking. If you are there for 4 days thats 4x24=£96 JUST to park your car?? ??

Can we request 2011 Convention is held somewhere like Bognor Regis - that way we won't have to remortgage the house to attend lol  Grin  Grin

A couple of years ago we stayed in a cheap hotel about a ten minute walk from the Novatel, you should have a look around  Smiley

The prospect of having the convention 'travel around'  was discussed a long time ago on a previous thread.
From memory it was thought that London was a good base for transport infrastructure etc.
Personally I'd love to see it travel around the country to various venues
e.g.  London, birmingham, manchester, liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff

There is no doubt that almost anywhere on the planet (except perhaps Dublin) would be cheaper than London
However it is unlikely to happen

I think the 'London appeal' appeals to most is is easy enough to get to from anywhere across the globe Greg  Smiley

I agree that I wish there was one a bit more locacl - this event has cost me just under a grand (well me and my mate-who is also swpp but not on the forum just yet)

but I can also understand the ease of transpot for EVERYONE to get to London, just wish there was a cheaper option like a package deal almost!
